Building on the valuable discussions and insights from Tallinn, this year’s Working Table, titled "Shaping Sustainable and Efficient Prison Infrastructure”, will once again bring together experts responsible for the construction, operation and development of correctional facilities.

Across our member countries, prison portfolios continue to face significant challenges. Many facilities are outdated and no longer meet today’s functional, technical, and ecological requirements. At the same time, the demand for capacity is increasing, while operational and budgetary constraints are becoming more pressing.

The upcoming Prison Working Table aims to continue this exchange by focusing on innovative approaches and practical solutions. A strong emphasis will be placed on sustainability, particularly the decarbonization of existing facilities, reflecting its growing importance in the operation and management of correctional portfolios.

 In addition, key topics such as modernization, new construction, and operational efficiency will be explored to address current challenges.
