At the 2023 annual conference in Reykjavik, the PuRE-net Constitution was amended to include a Vice President (VP). The Steering Committee (SC) were to elect this person at the first SC meeting after the Annual Conference.
In December 2023, Annuska Bloemert was appointed VP of PuRE-net by an unanimous SC.
Duties of the VP
The election of the VP is important in order to secure the succession within the Steering Committe, as the VP will step if the President of some reason has to be relieved of his/her duties.
Furthermore the VP will take responsibility of the two external connections (TWN and NEFPP) in collaboration with the Secretariat.
