Rasmus Brandt Lassen resigns as president of PuRE-net

Dear friends and colleagues,

First of all, I would like to thank you all for an inspiring and delightful annual conference in charming Dublin, not least our generous hosts at OPW. I have returned to Copenhagen supercharged with inspiration and with deepened relations.

This, however, makes my next point even harder.

As of 1st of November this year, I will start a new position as CEO at The Danish Industry Association, Construction sector. Consequently, I will leave my position as CEO at Bygningsstyrelsen and hence resign as PuRE-Net president by end of October.

Regrettably, I could not reveal this at our AGM in Dublin, as my change of position was not finally approved at that time. Fortunately, the AGM in Iceland last year adopted a proposal to appoint a vice president to ensure succession in the steering committee - a position Annuska Bloemert from RVB accepted to take on.

I have discussed the situation with Annuska, and she is willing to take over as president as of 1st of November. We also agreed on a slow transition of the secretariat, currently managed by Emma Li Bjærge from Bygningsstyrelsen. Emma will continue as secretary until the end of February 2025, where the secretariat will be passed on (or back) to RVB, where Sook de Jonge has accepted to take another turn.

This way, I rest assured that PuRE-Net will be in the best of hands to ensure future networking and knowledge-sharing among state public real estate institutions across Europe - also in the future.

Emma and Sook I will work to ensure a smooth transition. And we will soon send out the questionnaire to qualify the strategy discussions in the steering committee in November as mentioned at the AGM.

Thank you all for being active in our excellent network, and for all the great experiences we have shared in years, I have been in the network.

Best regards

Rasmus Brandt Lassen
